Nestled in the rugged beauty of Iceland, Hraunsnef Country Hotel has a charm that's hard to resist, making it a perfect retreat after a busy day of exploration. My friends and I were enchanted by the cozy atmosphere and were pleasantly surprised by the delightful à la carte dinner-truly a culinary experience that showcased the local fare from nearby farms. Each bite was a testament to Iceland's rich flavors. Our room was nothing short of cozy, complete with bathrobes and slippers that made the short stroll to the hot tub feel extra indulgent. The mountain views from our terrace were splendid, especially as the daylight faded and the Northern Lights began to dance across the sky. Just a mere 2 km from the majestic Grábrók volcano, the location was ideal for nature lovers like us keen on hiking and photography. Add to that the warmth of the staff, who were always on hand to offer a warm welcome and tips for local adventures-this place truly feels like a home away from home. I can't wait to return for a longer stay, soaking in everything Hraunsnef has to offer again!
